Protecting your bike away from a station
If you make a temporary stop and park your bike somewhere other than a Vélo'V station, remember to take precautions : use the dual anti-theft device to protect your bike.
STEP 1 : THE STAND
- We recommend that you park your bike next to a suitable post or pole. Put the bike on its stand and remove the anti-theft cable from the bike's basket.
STEP 3 : THE KEY
- Press on the lock plate while turning the handlebars gently to the left. Turn the key and remove it. Keep this key safe. The bike is now immobilised.
STEP 2 : THE ANTI-THEFT DEVICE
- Pass the cable around the post. Insert the end of the cable into the slot by the front wheel fork.
LOCKING WITHOUT THE CABLE
- If there is no suitable post nearby, immobilise your bike by:
- pressing on the lock plate,
- turning the handlebars gently to the left,
- turning and removing the key.
The bike is now immobilised.
